League News

The u13 Premier side had to work hard against a gallant Colga fc side on Saturday last with goals from Ryan O Donnell, Aaron Doyle and a brace from Ben Costelloe. The u13 championship side put in a brave performance against Oughterard afc A but went down 4-3 in a thriller in a pulsating game in Oranmore with goals from Shane Goodwin, Kuba Braiter Kimbenga and Seaghan Corry. The u15 Premier side played very well against Salthill Devon last Saturday and hit the woodwork four times but still went down 2-0 to the visitors in a game they certainly deserved at least the share of the spoils in a good quality game. There were mixed results for our clubs u17/u18 sides. The division 1 side played particularly well in the first half and emerged 6-1 winners against a battling Bearna Na Forbacha Aontaithe side in the league to maintain their unbeaten run built on a good defense, the scorers were Jack Grealish(2),Tommy Hennessy, Dean Mooney, Oisin Quinlan and Ben Wright. The u17/u18 Premier side will wonder how they let a comfortable lead slip and go down 4-2 to a very spirited Tuam Celtic side. Defensive errors proved costly with the Maree/Oranmore goals coming from Sean Delany and Sam Ojo.

Connacht Shield

In an interesting u12 Connacht Shield game in maree the u12 championship side defeated Corrib Celtic on a 4-1 scoreline with Liam Lernihan(2), Ben Trainor and Cillian Cannon netting in a fine victory,

Juniors

The Junior Premier side played Premier table toppers Athenry fc, the game was 0-0 for the first 60 minutes but injuries to Ronan Tully and John Latchford proved costly with Athenry netting 3 goals late on in the game, they hope to bounce back on Sunday when they play Mervue away in Fahys field on Sunday next.

50/50 Draw.

The adult players are running a 50/50 draw to take place on Saturday November 18th at 9pm in the Porterhouse Oranmore with tickets costing a tenner and the winner getting 50 per cent of total sales.
