With midweek games now the norm for local Galway Clinic sponsored community based soccer club Maree/Oranmore fc, it has been a busy period over the past week.

League Action

The u16 Premier side maintained their top of the table position with a hard earned narrow 1-0 victory against Galway Hibernians in Bohermore. The all important goal came after 12 minutes with a good strike from Conal Doyle in a game where captain Daniel Cahalane excelled as did Oscar Seeker and James Whelan in a very tight game against strong determined opponents.

The u15 Premier side will be very content after Last Saturdays 2-0 win against Salthill Devon in Oranmore. This was a good performance in a close game. The important goals arrived courtesy of Gavin Smyth and the industrious Ben Costelloe.

The u16 girls who were rather depleted on Easter Sunday went down in a League tie to Colga fc in Clarenbridge while the u17/u18 Premier boys side are neck and neck with Mervue at the top of their Table.

The new u11 Development Boys League saw Salthill Devon emerge victorious on Saturday afternoon last in Oranmore despite goals from Shayne Ramberg(2), Adam Fahy and James McCormack.
