Junior Sides

The Junior Reserve Adult team had two draws over the weekend, a 2-2 away draw under lights in Headford against a good Moyne Villa side with Andrew Dillon and Kenneth Mc Stay scoring and an exciting 3-3 draw away to Colemanstown Utd with Kenny Masterson getting a brace and Peter Greaney also on the scoresheet. The Junior Premier side will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run when they play Renmore afc in Renmore next Sunday at 11am, we wish Emlyn Long and his charges the very best.

Youth Team

In a keenly contested u17/u18 division 1 game in Oranmore on Saturday last against Oughterard afc the Maree/Oranmore lads will be grateful for a scoreless draw to continue their unbeaten run against a very strong visiting side. Defensively there were fine performances from Thomas Heraghty, Conor Carroll, Oliver McCamley and full backs Kevin Horgan and Mark Mullins with David Mc Carthy, Jack Grealish and Tommy Hennessy also working hard in the midfield sector.

Irish Cup

The u15 Premier side advanced in the sfai u15 cup with a very convincing win away to St Johns Athletic from Co Roscommon in a game played in Lecarrow on an excellent playing surface. A fine team performance with the goalscorers including Cian Horgan(3), Ronan Kililea(3), Gavin Smyth(2) and Ciaran Black. Not so fortunate were the u15 division 1 side who in the same competition went down to a strong visiting Knock/Kiltimagh Utd side with Ben Burke, Aaran Doyle and Daniel Olaloko performing well.
The u13 Premier side put up a very brave display despite going down 6-4 to Mervue in the u13sfai cup game in Oranmore last Saturday morning, a couple of rare defensive errors proved costly with goals from Ben Costelloe(2) and Colm Whelan(2).
