Maree Oranmore FC AGM
The Maree/Oranmore fc club AGM took place last Wednesday before a good attendance at The Maree Community Centre where a strong club executive was voted in to run the affairs of our progressive community based soccer club serving the youth of Maree and Oranmore. The development of the new 4g pitch for the community of Maree and Oranmore was a strong and positive topic for those in attendance as plans are put in place for an exciting 2020/21 season. A review of the season which finished abruptly in March due to the Covid crisis was presented.

Galway FA Committee Representation
Congrats to Tom Reddington who was recently elected onto the Galway FA committee, Tom is one of our best volunteers and will make a great contribution to the local game.
4G Pitch Project
A special mention too to David Raftery who did an excellent job as project manager for our pitch project working with club architect Derek Conneely and our entire development committee. The great work of Martin Joyce of P and D Lydon and SIS pitches is acknowledged and greatly appreciated. Our next step is to acquire funds for ball netting and lighting for the community project. You can now purchase pitchside signage at a very reasonable rate, text Dave on 087 9825136.
Player Registration for Season 20/21
Registration is now open for the new season 2020/21 and we would ask parents and our adult players to download the clubzap app to proceed. We hope to have pre season started for our underage boys and girls sides very soon with our adult and u21 sides training and preparing well already in pre season.
Our club summer soccer camp sold out very quickly and our younger kids will be the first club group to use our new full size all weather pitch from August 17th to 21st.
Thanks to all club families and community members who support our development Draw. For the price of a cup of coffee per week you can wish generous cash prizes, play your part by texting Fergus on 087 2457626.
Maree/Oranmore fc is an inclusive club catering from the elite to the developing player and we are particularly proud of our Football For All programme and the continued growth in numbers in our underage girls and boys programme. For further details visit our facebook page or text 087 9806489.
