U12 Connacht Cup

Last Saturday saw our u12 Premier side of season 2019/20 exit the U12 Connacht Cup semi final on a 2-1 scoreline away to an excellent Westport Utd side. The Maree/Oranmore fc Lads took the lead in the opening half through a fine Jonathan Smith goal. The second half saw the home side come into it as the visitors tired in the very warm conditions. Two second half goals saw Westport snatch the tie. Westport Utd play Salthill Devon in the u12 Connacht Cup Final.

The lads now Prepare for the new season 2020/21 with confidence as their displays were most impressive.

Hang Tough!

Well done to Rian Dunne Leavy (14) who raised 383 euro for our Football For All Programme which his younger brother Jayden attends. Rian completed the Hang Tough Challenge beating the record from Irelands fittest family. His brother Finn (16) also helps with our club Football For All Programme which resumes in September. Summer Camp

Next week sees the club host our first club organised soccer camp (Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm Daily) run by club volunteers with any proceeds helping finance new goalposts and dug outs for the new 4g pitch facility which will be used for the camp next week alongside the Maree New Grass pitches. All places were booked very quickly and due to covid protocols we cannot accept walk ons.

Pitch Clean-up

Thanks to Rafai and all in Sweeney Oil, Oranmore who provided refreshments to our adult/U21 players who assisted with our clean up last Saturday morning in the area beside our new 4G pitch. Well done to David Devlin and Mike Quirke and all club volunteers.
