U12 Superstars!
The performance of u12 division 4 player Cian Quirke takes centre stage this week when he notched all six goals in a thrilling 6-4 victory against Oughterard afc in Maree last Saturday morning. Players to impress included wingers Liam O Donnell, Darren Cumiskey and Jonah O Halloran while a solid midfield presence of Conor Joyce and Brian Carroll caught the eye in a side captained last Saturday by Harry Byrnes.
The u12 Premier side advanced in the Irish Cup comfortably defeating our own clubs u12 div 2 side in the sfai u12 cup in Oranmore last saturday morning while in a thriller our u12 championship side despite playing extremely well went down 2-1 to Ballinasloe Town A also in the sfai cup with the goal coming from Alexander Koman in the first half in a titanic battle.
Irish Cup Results
The u14 Premier side had a good outing in the sfai u14 cup when they recorded an impressive win against Ballisodare Utd from Co Sligo in Ballisodare last Saturday afternoon. The goals came courtesy of a brace from Ben Costelloe and finishes from Myles Loughran, Daniel Olaloko, Gavin Smyth and Rowan Allan. This result is the consequence of the efforts of Coaches Kevin Costelloe and Trevor Quinn, they will meet strong outfit Athenry fc in the next round of the Irish Cup.
The u18 boys travelled to Na Forbacha to play the home side Bearna Na Forbacha Aontaithe in the FAI u18 Cup and came away with a very comfortable win with the goalscorers who included Eoghan Mc Donagh and Sean Delany in what was a fine overall team performance against brave opposition who opened the scoring.
Boys League Matches
The u16 boys have started their League campaign well and have continued their progress on Sunday last in Oranmore with a 4-1 victory against Moyne Villa with the goals courtesy of Cathal Fallon, Conor Mc Goldrick, Luke Lally and Patrick Ugbade
The u14 division two boys went down to Corrib Rangers despite two goals from Jack Scarry and Neil Taylor on a poor muddy surface.

The clubs u16 girls had an emphatic victory against brave newcomers St Bernards Utd on Sunday afternoon last in an overall fine squad performance which bodes well for the future as our club strives to develop the girls game in our community.
Juniors
One of the few disappointments of the weekend was the 3-2 defeat in the Junior Premier League at the hands of a revitalised Renmore afc side with Malachy Black getting a brace. The lads will hope to bounce back when they face Tuam side Dynamo Blues in FAI Junior Cup this coming weekend.
St Columba's Credit Union Invitational Tournament
This weekend sees the commencement of the club organised St Columbas Credit Union Invitational Tournament,action this sunday October 22nd is for participating clubs at boys u7 and u8 level and girls sides at u8 and u10 level.Further details from Dave on 087 6744158.
Member Draw
Our october members development draw takes place this saturday october 21st at 9.45pm in the maree community centre. Our club will be developing a new 4g playing facility for the entire community. There are cash prizes monthly,you can still join for your kids sake by contacting 087 6744158.
