The three adult mens teams were in action, the u21s opened their League account with a resounding victory under lights midweek against Corrib Rangers on a 7-2 victory with goals courtesy of a brace each from Sean Delany and Matthew Barrett and an excellent Eduard Balla hatrick.
The u21 League acts as as a successful bridge between youth and adult Football with nine club teams in a close competitive League. Several of the lads have made the progression to the clubs adult set up under seasoned manager Don O Riordan.

The lads know they will have to up their game next weekend away in the FAI Junior Cup to Mervue but undoubtedly the potential is there.
Competitive Boys Sides
There was mixed results for our u17 and u18 sides in FAI Cup action. The u17s played well under lights on Thursday night in Headford in windy and wet conditions on a good pitch and came away with a well earned 5-2 victory against Moyne Villa with goals from Killian Bolly, Ciaran Black(2), Gavin Smyth(pen) and Jake Corbett. They are away to Mervue in round 2.
The u18s played well in the FAI youth Cup on Saturday but excellent defending by the Renmore afc rearguard kept them at bay, the lads did not deserve to go down 2-1 having dominated the game. A penalty from Adam Lally was a disappointing return where several good chances were squandered.
There were good performances from Shane Cox, Liam Mc Donagh, James Whelan and Cian Horgan in defence while Caden Okuguni, Eoin Lyons and Kody McCann did their utmost to create opportunities for the Maree/Oranmore fc Lads. Good luck to Shane Cox who plays for Connacht Youths in Interpros this weekend in Galway.
The u16 Premier lads came from 3-1 down away to Athenry fc to defeat the hosts on a 4-3 scoreline in a fine team performance with goals coming from a Killian Bolly brace, Ben Costelloe and a Gavin Smyth penalty.
