Academy News
The Maree/Oranmore fc Academy for u6 to u10 boys and girls continues this Saturday December 21st in Oranmore with a special visitor due.
Training will resume after the Christmas break for our younger sides on Jan 11th.
Invitational Tournament
The St Columbas Credit Union Invitational Tournament resumes for our Junior Groups (u7, u8 boys and u8 girls) on February 2nd and on the 9th February for our Senior Groups (u9,u10 boys and u10 girls).
Adult Soccer
Disappointment for our Adult Premier side who went down away to St Bernards on Sunday morning last, after a good season start the lads in the new year will hope to get back into gear. A good first half but an inability to finish proved costly.
Maree/Oranmore fc are hopeful of fielding an over 35s team in a season due to start next May. Thanks to Jonathan Fitzpatrick for taking the reigns, Jonathan is at 086 8875500.
Boys League Soccer
The u15 div 1 boys side had a very fine 4-0 victory away to Salthill Devon in Drom to make it three wins from four starts for Tom Reddingtons charges. The goals were courtesy of a Luke O Connor hattrick and a finish for Briain Fahy.
The u12 sfai Regional semi final saw a good Athenry fc side defeat Noel Carrolls charges with a solitary goal last Saturday morning in Oranmore in a game where good football was the dominant feature.
Well done to Noah Carroll who captained The Galway League u12 sidev Mayo League in Milebush this weekend
Saturday saw the cancellation of two games in Oranmore due to pitch waterlogging namely u15 Premier and u13 championship. The importance of our new 4g development for our local kids is so obvious especially at this time of the year. Parents can still join the draw for less than a fiver weekly with generous monthly cash prizes. Contact Fergus for further details on 087 2457626.
