All of our boys age groups, girls age groups and our three adult sides have all now commenced pre season training. Maree/Oranmore fc as a community based club welcomes all players from Maree and Oranmore to play with one of our club sides. Registration is now open for season 2020/21 by downloading the Clubzap App and daily reminders of teams training schedule will be posted on the Maree/Oranmore FC facebook page. Our new 4g pitch is open and being used by our club sides,we would encourage our club families and the general community to support our monthly development draw for the price of a cup of coffee, details from Fergus on 087 2457626.
The monthly draw in aid of the 4g community pitch took place on Sunday evening last. The top prize went to John and Sally Grealy ,Maree, second prize went to Kieran O Connell of Clochog, Oranmore and Third prize went to Sean Horsman of Maree. We would like to thank all those who support this crucial draw to pay for the new pitch facility.
Several club sides played pre season friendlies over the weekend with the U13 Premier side hosting Colga FC. The U18 Premier side played Cregmore/Claregalway fc,the adult Premier men hosted Galway Hibernians while our u15b side travelled to Headford to play Moyne Villa. MOFC u12 girls played their club u13 counterparts in a pre-season friendly (pictured above). All are reminded that players must register to play as they are not insured and our club must cover registration, further rental costs, gear and a multiplicity of other costs of running a large inclusive club.
Our youngest Academy sides(u6 to u10) commence training as per usual on Saturday afternoons with covid protocols in place on September 12th on our new 4g pitch in Maree. Our St Columbas C.U. Invitational Tournament will however be played as usual in Oranmore.
One of our clubs priorities this year is the further development of our girls sides. With sides already playing up to u19, it is a firm hope for the club to field an adult womens side in the future. For all club details visit our club facebook page or text 087 9806489.
