On behalf of us all in Maree/Oranmore FC we would like to wish you and your families a happy and safe Christmas.
For many of our families and the country generally 2020 was a difficult year and we hope 2021 will be better for everyone as we all deal with the effects of the Covid Pandemic in our society.
Your local club continues to grow and now has an astonishing 800 players-the largest in the Galway and District League. This growth is testimony to the commitment and efforts of all our coaches and volunteers who give many many hours to our local children and community.
Thank you to all who support our club members Development Draw which is how we finance the mortgage of our full size UEFA standard 4g pitch for all codes of sport in the community of Maree and Oranmore. We are also delighted to see Maree National school use this fine facility. In times like these the importance of sport for the physical and mental health of our youth is paramount. Sport keeps our young people focused and helps build friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime.
Thanks to all our sponsors, especially Caulfield Industrial for there generous contribution in acquiring the naming rights on the new facility,we are grateful to Eamonn and Tony for all their assistance and support in these tough times which will make the children of our duel communities dreams become a reality. To every business that has taken a pitch sign, they all help with the continuous development of MOFC
Again our main sponsor The Galway Clinic, we say thank you for continuing support.
We look forward to playing competitive games when it is deemed safe to do so but will continue to train in safety.
Take care of yourselves and others this Christmas, Thanks for all your help and support.
Yours sincerely in sport
Wes Coyne(Club Chairperson).
