The Brampton Maree/Oranmore fc Academy was formally launched in splendid sunshine at the Brampton Care Home Oranmore last Saturday. The 10 year partnership will see the u6 to u10 Boys and Girls Academy being renamed the Brampton Academy. The deal also includes all club camp promotional material and Camp kit being embossed with the distinctive Brampton logo amongst other innovative developments to be announced.

Maree/Oranmore fc overall sponsor for our 870 player club is the excellent Galway Clinic with St Columbas C.U sponsoring our Invitational Tournament. The Porterhouse, Oranmore is our Adult mens sides sponsor while many local businesses have assisted us over the years and in recent months have sponsored Perimeter Advertising signage on our community 4g pitch in Maree. The competitive  season resumes on Monday June 7th and the one round League will be complete by July 18th,we wish our Maree/Oranmore fc club sides the very best. Our Brampton Academy will continue up to and including June 26th.

Galway Utd ran a very successful pilot transition year soccer programme last Friday morning on our community 4g Pitch in Maree. Four schools took part, namely, Claregalway College,Pres Athenry,Clarin College Athenry and our local secondary school Calasanctius College, Oranmore. Thanks to John Glynn who coordinated the event and the participating schools and players. It is hoped to expand in the next Academic year.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery to Malachy and Ciaran Black who picked up injuries at training last week, two brothers with an excellent attitude and great commitment, we wish them well. Congrats to club player, Jane Luft, who won female student of the year in our local secondary school Calasanctius College Oranmore, a very well deserved accolade for the Oranhill Lady.

Well done to Ava Mullins who has been selected for the FAI Girls u13 Emerging Talent Programme and Centre of Excellence for u13 boys Kian Dooley, Noah Carroll, Barry Keating and David Mc Laughlin.
